A good resume must speak articulately for you and present your accomplishments, plans and strengths in a way that is easy to understand and is comprehensive in every way possible. - Know Your Companies: Before you write a single word about yourself it would be best to know what kind of company you're applying for. And apart from what kind of company you are applying for, it is also best to know what kind of person they are looking for and how you can best fill that position. Are they hiring someone to solve a problem or to take advantage of opportunity.

- Define Your Value Proposition: If you've ever been required to sift through the resumes of those several job seekers, you'll discover the fact that a lot of them look the same. So to separate yourself from the pack it is important to define your value proposition and convey it in lively, interesting language. If you don't know what a value proposition is, it is those qualities that make you valuable to your potential employer.

- Focus On Your Impact: When you write down your resume, you could do either of two things. You could either list down all the tasks that you've ever had or you could instead relate the impact your contributions have had in your old workplace. Guess which one is more attractive to your potential employers. Instead of saying that you've been asked to do a lot of things, why not state it in a way that shows your value to your former employers?
